Sherman, George age 87, retired Microbiologist and Veteran of WWII, beloved husband of Vivian (nee Soffran), loving father of Mark (Eileen), Ian (Barbara), Robin and Carole, dear grandfather of Heather, Robert, Adam, Wendy, Wesley, Rebecca, David, Jared and Jacob. Services Thursday, 11 a.m., at Weinstein Funeral Home North Shore Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette, (1 blk. North of Old Orchard). Interment Menorah Gardens Cemetery, Broadview. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 208 S. LaSalle St., Suite 900, Chicago, IL, 60604. For information: 847-256-5700

Mark & Adam,
I am very sorry for your loss. While I have only met the two of you recently playing softball, I can tell your father/grandfather was a wonderful man by the way he raised his children.
