I remember meeting George for the 1st time as a youngster. My father (the late David Rasof) was a cousin of George's and greatly admired and respected him. I still remeber being fascinated by the wonderful stories he told about George, and his family...particulary stories about Barney and George as young boys growing up. I had many a good conversation with George over the past 50 years and can rember him as a wonderful caring man who loved life and his family. Although I am a somewhat distant cousin, he always made me feel special. May he rest in eternal peace!

Dear Rasof family,
I'm so saddened to hear of the loss of your beloved George. Though I only got to know him late in his life, he took me into his home and treated me with the warmth of a member of the family. He was a true Chicago "one-of-a-kind" and he will be greatly missed.
