George Markarian Obituary
George G. Markarian, MD, age 88, a longtime resident of Lisle, passed away on November 22. He was born on May 15, 1932 in Tabriz, Iran. Dr. Markarian is survived by his wife of 58 years, Larissa Markarian (nee Bagratuni), sons Gregory George Markarian, MD and Michael George Markarian; grandchildren Farrah Elena Markarian and Joseph Hideki Markarian; siblings Hrand Markarian and Angie (John Paul Demers-Markarian, MD; niece and nephew Pierre Demers and Helen Demers. He is preceded in death by his parents and Paranjem and Bartough Markarian; his sister Goharik Markarian. Visitation will be Friday, November 27 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services 44 S. Mill St. Naperville, IL 60540. The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 28 at 11:00 AM at Armenian All Saints Apostolic Church 1701 Greenwood Rd, Glenview, IL 60026. Interment will follow at Naperville Cemetery, Naperville.Current health guidelines state that no more than 10 individuals at a time may pay their respects to the family, and guests are required to wear masks and follow social distancing procedures. it´s past However, if this is viewed by the family Dr Markarian was on call Foc on July 21 1982. A motorcycle accident could have claimed my life. Dr worked to save my compound fracture of the left leg. In kept for 3 months when healing started to appear. I still to this day remember him

I was blessed with the honor of knowing Dr. George & Larissa, since my husband ( Dr. Robert Novak) was his Orthopedic Partner for decades!!
He was a very gifted & knowledgeable doctor that had a great reputation among his peers & community! Now the two of them can enjoy fellowship together again in glory!!

Dr M completed my lumbar fusion in 1967 and now all these years later I am active at 82 because he relieved my pain. He was a great surgeon and I am forever grateful he was part of my life. Sympathy to the family.

Greg you should be proud of all your Father accomplished both in soccer and the many items he did for the improvement of the field of Orthopedic Surgery. He was quite a man as we can see through his sons achievements. So you remember I am Jack Flowers father of Peter and our relationship with Benet soccer. He is in our prayers.
