LaForte, George age 77, longtime Dolton resident formerly of Roseland. C.V.S High School. graduate. U.S. Army Veteran. Retired Maintenance Mechanic at Argonne National Laboratory. Husband for 52 years of Giovanna "Joanne" (nee Spagnolo), father of Robert (Janet), Susan (James) Owen, Lynne (Scott) Cichocki, and Michael (Eva) LaForte, grandfather of Cheryl, Justin and Ross LaForte, Brandon and Emily Owen, sister of Grace (Harry) Aggen and Laura (Bob) Buzash. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St., (US Rte. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights, on Thursday, June 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Friday, 10 a.m., to St. Jude Church, South Holland. Mass 11 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth. 708-481-9230

Dear Joanne and family. I just learned about Georges passing and I would like to extend our condolances. As you might recall I worked with George for several years in the late 60s and early 70s at Argonne and have fond memories of both he and his family.
