Klein, George J. Age 86, of Dolton, IL, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011. Beloved husband of Pearl M. Klein nee Meneghini. Devoted father of George (Barbara) Klein, Angie (Wayne) Miles and Jerry Klein. Proud grandfather of Matthew, Mollie (Chris) Cameo, Jerry Jr. and Peter. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Henry and Millie Klein and brothers and sisters Dorothy, Fred, David, Annie, Louise, Marie, Henry, Mollie and Johnny. Visitation Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 3 :00 - 9:00 p.m. Prayer Service Friday, April 29, 2011 - 10:30 a.m. from the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home James E. Janusz Director 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL to St. Jude the Apostle Church (880 E. 154th St. South Holland, IL 60473) for 11 :30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery - Elwood, IL. Mr. Klein was a WWII Army Veteran and received four Bronze Battle Stars, one Silver Star and the Purple Heart. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association (8430 W. Bryn Mawr Suite 800 Chicago, IL 60631) would be appreciated.
