George Hronopoulos Obituary
Hronopoulos, George L. suddenly, age 48, passed away November 30, 2008, beloved son of Maria and the late Lambros Hronopoulos, loving stepfather of Daisy, Adam and Tyler, loving brother of Peter, Joann (Angelos) Lena and John (Patricia), dear uncle of Maria Hrnopoulos, Chris and Theodore Lena, also survived by many dear Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends, here and in Greece. Chef and owner of Big Apple Restaurant. Visitation Wednesday, 3 to 9 p.m., at Hills Funeral Home, Ltd., 10201 S. Roberts Rd. (8000 W.), Palos Hills. Funeral Thursday, family and friends will meet at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, (7560 S. Archer-Justice, IL), for service at 10 a.m. Interment Bethania Cemetery. "May His Memory Be Eternal". George Hronopoulos was a good friend who never let me down. He always had a joke or a good story to tell me to make me laugh. He had a certain way of seeing and explaining complicated things in a simple straight forward down to earth kind of way that you could understand. He was guy that I really enjoyed hanging around with - even though I hadn't seen him for a while. I can't believe that this happened to him. I can't believe he is gone. I hope he is in a better place - maybe fishing or hunting - maybe with Jimmy Pappas (Orland) and Terry and with his dad. That sounds pretty good to me. Goodbye George, we will miss you.
