George Holmes Obituary

Holmes, George B. age 71, of Griffith, IN, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2005, survived by his wife, Arlene (nee Sinkevicz) of 46 years, two sons, George H. Holmes of Hammond and Ron (Char) Holmes of Griffith, two grandchildren, Wendy and Samantha Holmes, both of Griffith, two brothers, Harold Holmes of DeMotte, IN and Joe (Ruth) Holmes of Arizona, sister, Dolores Tapalian of California and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two sons, James and John and daughter, Susan. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 21, 2005, at 9:30 a.m., at the Kuiper Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Church, Rev. Theodore Mens officiating. Burial St. Casimir Cemetery, Chicago, IL. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, from 2 to 8 p.m., at the Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd. (2 blks. South of Ridge Rd.), Highland, IN. Mr. Holmes was a member of the St. Mary Church of Griffith. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and the founder and owner of Dombrowski and Holmes of Chicago, IL. A Prayer Service will be held at 8 p.m., on Sunday evening. For info: 219-923-7800

Dear Aunt Arlene,JR and Ron.

Our hearts go out to all. We send you love and we keep you in our prays. I love Uncle Georgie and only fine comfort in knowing his with his parents,grandparents,brother and most important his children. I'm sure they all were there to welcome him home.
