Bates, Gayle D.

Gayle D. Bates, nee Croasdale, 83 years, of Punta Gorda, FL died on December 28, 2021. Gayle grew up and raised her children in the Chicago area. In her kind and gentle way, she touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Gayle worked in the trucking industry for many years prior to retirement. She was very active in her condominium association and volunteered with the Charlotte County Cultural Center for over 10 years. Gayle was preceded in death by her husband John Bates, her parents, Arthur and Eleanor Croasdale, her brother Ronald A. Croasdale and her nephew Ronald R. Croasdale. She was the loving mother of Raymond and Michael Dunphy, treasured grandmother of Raymond Dunphy, Kyle Dunply and Nicole Flores proud great grandmother of Harlee Busby and Eleanor Flores. Cherished aunt of Skip and Allen Croasdale as well as many great and great great nephews and nieces devoted friend of Ruth Hurbanis and Gigi Mawyer. Gayle will be interred next to her husband John in Chesterfield, Virginia.
