To My Love, My Life Partner,
Words can't be spoken to describe the emptiness I feel since your passing 4 years ago.I was so very blessed to share my life with you and I thank our Lord every day for you and your love.We had a marriage that people only dream of.I truly know what unconditional love is-we had it.The days since we first met passed so quickly, there weren't enough of them. You were one of the Lords' greatest creations, truly "golden".You were my life,my sunshine on a dark day, the icing on my cake, the peanut butter on my jelly. The memories of you are imbedded in my soul and my broken heart will ache for you forever. I miss your fantastic humor, your loving generous nature and your genuine love of family. You were the perfect role model for our children. You instilled the same honest values and the highest moral character that you had.If I had one more life life to live, I would only ask to be born earlier so I could meet you sooner. You will live in my heart forever Gary. May God keep you safe and at peace my love-till we meet again. I love you.
Love,Rayleen

Dear Gary,
It's so hard for me to believe that it's almost 3 years since you left us. I'm so sorry for being so selfish and wanting you to stay in our lives to a ripe old age like everyone else. Unfortunately that was no to be since God needed a Guardian Angel who be so compassionate and loving someone who would probably work with the little kids who he had to bring to heaven so you were his chosen one. He called you and like always you didn't complain, even though you had to leave a beautiful family of grandkids and your own wife and children to be by his side. It's hard to see your grandkids will never know how wonderful you are except from the fond memories we pass along. That's how I remember you the most you would never complain about pain or anything. You never would take credit for any heroics like my next memory. I can't believe to this day you never told Rayleen what you did for me.

You know how much I owe you for saving my life. Nobody knows how terrified I was when I visited you both in Hawaii and you would take me mountain climbing and body surfing. The ocean waves the day we went surfing on those boards were fine when we started but then the surf began to come in and out so fast and hard I couldn't catch my breath or my footing. I remember like it happened today how terrified I was and asked God to please help me. He answered my prayer that day with a hand held out in the water that grabbed and pulled me back in to shore. IT WAS YOU GARY MY GUARDIAN ANGEL THAT DAY. You saved my life and enabled me to have a family of my own with my Ron and our two sons Mike and Jeff. Our family has grown with the girls and Luke and I'm happy to have shared some of it with you. We will all remember you and love you and know that you we're so special God called you first. He picked you and all I know is that when he calls you don't look back you gladly go. Please rest in peace and know we will be here if Rayleen needs us. Love Wendy

I will always have fond memories of the boyfriend of one of my sisters who became the big brother I never had. Things we did together, took me for my first ride in a convertible. Gary would take me with him when he went to play fast pitching so I could play at the park. He took me fishing with him and one I will always remember is when I caught a nice size trout and he let me bring it home. We put it in the bathtub for a while bit then we knew we had to get him out before Mom came home. I put him in a bucket and paraded the fish around the neighborhood to show it off to mt friends. I kept it in the corner of the yard for over a week until the neighbor began to complain about the smell. Gary bought me my first and only rabbit for Easter, I was thrilled but Dad wanted to kill him. There was a time when I was being picked on by some kids so Gary impersonated a cop and went to their house and scared the crap out of those kids thinking they were gonna be in big trouble if they did anything else to me.
I would love to go to Ford City and if he was working would always play for me and my friends.Whenever I needed anything He was always there for me no matter what, always just a phone call away. There are so many more memories I have, I thank my sister choosing Gary and making him a big part of my life.

I have such fond memories of you Uncle Gary. All the basketball games at Nana and Gramp's, you and Uncle Lenny's Christmas gift exchanges, your laugh, how you were with kids, you picking out my first car... I will always remember you and smile. I'm sorry you weren't here to meet my girls, but I know you're up there with Nana and Gramp looking over all of us. I love you and miss you Uncle Gary. Rest in peace.

I never knew him as Gary or Mr. Brody, it was Catfish. I was young when Catfish was our neighbor, he ALWAYS made me laugh and was ALWAYS joking with us. I am so sorry for your loss Rayleen, Jenny & Chad. He was such a great neighbor, I can only imagine how lucky your children were to have him as a grandpa! Miss you Catfish!

Our family has lost a wonderful man, kind, funny and caring. I have missed the phone calls with him telling me jokes, his laugh and his smile. He is probably laughing and joking and fishing with my dad and all his buddies and having a grand ole' time. My last and best memory of him was the day of Kate and Jeff's wedding, when he walked the grounds with little Breyden. I love and miss you Gary, rest in peace. xoxoxo

I can't believe 2 years has passed already. You have left such an imprint on my heart & soul and you are so deeply missed everyday! Your smile, your laughter, your love... I know you are near and watching over us all so you know all the tears that have been shed, the great memories that have been reminisced filling all of our hearts with smiles and love. You were the best Daddy in the world and the greatest man I've ever known! Thank you again for all you've done for me, especially for deeply unconditionally loving me and being a such a great friend in addition to being the world's best father! I don't think there has been a night the kids don't send kisses and "Good night Papa" up to you and they talk about you all the time! For being so young - they have some fun memories! We always sing "your song"... "I love you, you love me" song and even Izzie sings it! There will only be one Papa... you are #1! You're the best and always will be! Missing you as always but knowing you are in a better place. Until we meet again, I love you so much Daddy! Love your baby girl.

You were always there for me, No matter if I was right or wrong...I never had to ask, you were always there...You were not just my father, you were my guy, my guy that I would always turn to for the answers and guidance for the mountains that we have had to climb...I hope someday I will be half of the man that you are...My feet may be larger than yours but I will never be able to fit into your shoes...They say that life is like a roller coaster, that we are all on borrowed time, one day older and one step closer...Someday, I will be sitting in the seat next to you Dad and until then you will always be in my heart and thoughts...I love you more than I ever told you but you know that...You could always read what my eyes were showing...I promise you Dad that I will not rest until the answers are here...People will know, I promise you!!! The girls will be in good hands, I had the best teacher!!!

What is a Father
He’s a man of strength, hope, faith, courage
He’s a provider, a protector, a teacher by example, a little girl’s hero
He’s a man of patience, devotion, always a friend in need
He’s a man of strong morals and ethics who tries to always do only right
He’s filled with fun and laughter and silly antics
He has a heart of gold
He’s a family bodyguard (and a handsome one at that)
He lives every day for his family and is filled with so much love
He’s a dedicated business partner, an overachiever, a dreamer, a believer
He’s not just a father – but an awesome DADDY.
So what is a perfect father? Well, if you look it up in the dictionary – you’ll the definition above along with a picture of my dad.

I know you’ll never leave me and you know you will forever be in my heart. You can never be replaced and you will always be my rock, my #1. Thank you for giving me the gift of life and more importantly how to live it. I have so many wonderful memories that will be cherished forever. Butterfly kisses always.... love your baby girl... I knew Gary for only a short time when we attended Nathan Hale Elementary School in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. in that short time we became good friends but lost contact after we graduated. Coming to a new school he was first to befriend me and help me to adjust. I'm very happy things turned out so good for him and his wonderful family. I wish I knew he lived so close as I'm in Orland Park. May he now find new happiness with our Lord. Sincerely, Genaro( Gene ) Walker
