G.W. Ligon Obituary

Ligon Jr., G.W. 88, of North Little Rock, Arkansas made his transition May 15. He was born August 6, 1925 in Augusta, Arkansas. His parents and siblings preceded him in death. In 1946, G.W. moved to Chicago. He attended St. Matthew-Gordon AME Zion Church and later St. Mark United Methodist Church. G.W. worked more than 20 years for Leavitt Brothers and 25 years for Johnson Publishing Company, retiring in 1991. G.W. is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughters, Jacqueline Ligon-Ivory (Alvertis) and Pamela Ligon Harris; grandchildren, Damon Goree, Richard Harris, and Cristin Alexander, and great-granddaughter, Zian McFerguson. Funeral at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 22, Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 1109 S. State Street, Little Rock, Arkansas.
