Boland, Fredrick Alexander

Fredrick Alexander Boland, 86, died on Saturday, September 20, 2025 in Downers Grove, IL at home. He was born on November 17, 1938 in Chicago, IL, the son of Raymond Joseph Boland and Anne Teresa Weisbecker. He married Sally Ann Burdett on March 20, 1958. They settled in Downers Grove, IL and raised three children, Susan, Michael, and Kelly. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Sally, his children Susan (late Ernest Jr) Pentek, Michael (Judith) Boland and Kelly (David) Soto, 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, his brother, Dennis (Diane) Boland, numerous members of his extended family and many lifelong friends. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Robert Burdett and son-in-law Ernest Pentek, Jr. Visitation & services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 2:00pm–4:00pm at Modell Funeral Home, Darien, IL. In lieu of flowers, please honor Fred with a contribution the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
