Frederick "Fred" Zak, 77 of Palos Hills, at rest June 2, 2023, devoted husband of Joanne nee Moravecek; loving father of Chris (John) Rattigan, Terry (Vicki) Zak; cherished grandfather of Sarah and Grace Rattigan, Amelia and Grant Zak; dearest brother of Alan (Linda) and the late James (Myra) and the late Nannette (late Bernard) Richert; dear brother in law of Edward and the late Joseph J. III (Michelle), late James (Debbie) and late Thomas (late Debbie) Moravecek; beloved son of the late Walter and Florence; fond uncle and great uncle of many. A 1964 graduate of St. Philip High School a meat cutter for forty years at Jewel Food stores and a long time volunteer for PADS at Sacred Heart Church Palos Hills. Visitation Thursday, June 8, 3 to 8:00 p.m. at Curley Funeral Home, 6116 W. 111th St., Chicago Ridge. Funeral Mass Friday, June 9, Family and Friends will meet directly at Sacred Heart Church 8245 West 111th Street, Palos Hills. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment and Military Honors at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
