Frederick was a wonderful brother and talented family member and musician. He will be forever missed as he continues his journey in Heaven. Its a mixed blessing that we have his music recorded on our player Grand Piano, a joy and a sadness to hear his music. We imagine him playing his music in Heaven for the joy of his fellow Christians. We love and miss you Frederick! We pray that he hears our words in Heaven.

Frederick's wonderful God given (he often said "to God be the glory") musical talent deserved so much more exposure and recognition on this earth in my opinion. Now, I believe he is in God's mansions and continues in his wonderful musical praise of God.

We miss him and it is still hard to accept that he won't just call one day or come to visit us!

Fred has been one of a kind musicians who always praised the Lord through his music. His legacy as a composer, pianist, teacher and choir director will be remember forever. The arrangements he did to many anthems, spirituals and classic gospel songs are going to be remember. As a family member and friend, he was one of the most caring and respectful friends that I ever met, always supporting and helping everyone. It has been a true blessing to meet and to share with him and his family many times. I give thanks to God for the gift and presence of my best friend Frederick in my life. I ask God to keep blessing his family and to guide them in keeping Mr. Frederick B. Young legacy. Respectfully submitted, your friend:

Frederick Young was more than Minister of Music at St. Ailbe Catholic Church. He was a remarkable man, an extremely gifted musician and composer, a dear friend and father-figure. He is the reason I sing. My life has been enormously blessed by knowing him and I thank God for the life of Frederick Young and for allowing our lives to cross paths.

Respectfully Submitted,

To the family: Fred will be truly missed. Among our many loving memories is the musical birthday tribute we gave Fred in 1999. We were HIS choir and he loved us. We feel blessed to have had the opportunity to show him how much we truly loved and appreciated him. As much as we loved him, God loved him best. Take comfort in knowing he is at peace, resting in the arms of his Jesus.
