Recently had a dream about Freddie, so decided to look him up and found this. I don't know if it is the Freddie I was looking for. Great memories of Freddie working at TWA with me and went to his wedding in 1979, but lost touch. He obviously had a place in my life. My condolences to Susan and family.

On behalf of all of our family we will always remember Freddy as the consumate jovial prince. No matter what the circumstances, Fred was always there to interject a joke with a smile and abundant laughter--he truly brought joy into a world full of difficulties and unpleasantries. Our prayers and our condolences to you during this time. May God bring His comfort to you as you recall the infectuous smile and happiness that was such a major part of your Husband, Dad, Brother, "Uncle", Godfather and to everyone--a FRIEND!

Fred, Dr. Simon, as he liked to call himself, will be greatly missed. No matter what kind of day you were having, Fred always brought a smile to your face and laughter followed him where-ever he went. I only worked with him for 6 years but it feels like a lifetime. He deeply touched many people as he traveled through life. God Bless you Fred. My thoughts are with your family

As with the many others who have shared their thoughts - I too am deeply saddened by the passing of Freddie. He was a great friend through my high school years and a great teammate through our Slicker Sam's softball days. His ever pleasant smile will be missed. Our prayers and thoughts will be with him and his family.

For myself, Kay, Kristen and Kevin, the deepest sympathies to the Simon family. My remembrences of Freddy span 47 years. Since we were little our friendship grew to mean much to both of us. He had the greatest outlook on life of anyone I have ever known. Always upbeat and smiling, willing to help or share whatever he had. I will miss him a great deal but will always carry the memories of the good times. The camping trips, golfing together, sharing projects and each others company. May God bless him in his passing. I will never forget him.

Sharp wit with a capacity to render humor from intolerable situations is how I recall Freddy. Our world will be a less tolerable place in his absence.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the Simon Family. I could tell Freddie stories for hours, but to keep things short I’ll just say that Freddie accounted for some of my fondest memories from my younger years. Even though I hadn’t seen Freddie in years, I will miss him, as I am sure many, many others will.

I am a former co-worker of Fred's at Certified Grocers. I was saddened to hear about his passing. He really was a terrific person. He was, by far, my favorite supervisor, largely because of his great sense of humor. He was always positive, even when work was tough, he found ways to motivate the people around him. My heartfelt condolences to his family. Fred will be missed.
