Fred Krachtus Obituary
Fred Krachtus, 94, of Des Plaines passed away on Sept. 3rd, 2023 in his sleep.
Fred was born on June 20th, 1929 in Chicago, IL to Suzanna (Gilla) and John Krachtus who came from Hungary.
He was predeceased by his brother John C. Krachtus: 1998 and sons Kurt: 2008 and Eric: 2019.
Fred is survived by his nieces Diana (Bob)Hubberts, Jennifer (Dave)Smith; nephew John T. (Beverly)Krachtus; grandchildren Kara (Antonio)Ramirez, Carlie, Amanda, Martin Krachtus; and great grandchild Ava Ramirez.
Fred will be remembered as an avid music enthusiast, boater, and animal lover. What he loved the most was being in the middle of family and enjoying shared memories. His passion for photography gave him a career taking pictures while serving in the U.S. Army and as a professional photographer.
Services will be held at private residence.
