Jankowski, Fred J. "Fritz" age 82, lifelong of South Chicago and the East side. Beloved son of the late John and late Mary Jankowski, devoted brother of Florence M. Jankowski. WWII U.S. Army Veteran, serving with the 31st Infantry Dixie Division in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Retired Senior Loan Representative with Federal National Mortgage Association. Charter member of American Legion Russell Square Post #1006. Longtime member of St. Michael Church and National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Visitation Wednesday, July 26, 2006, from 8:30 a.m. until time of Prayers at 9:30 a.m., at the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago, to St. Michael Church. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. 773-731-2749
