Hince, Fred S. passed away November 13, 2004 President of Local #9 IBEW for over 39 years. Employed by the City of Chicago for 58 years General foreman in charge of linemen, Bureau of Electricity, City of Chicago, Chicago Federation of Labor Delegate for many years, past president of the Municipal Employees Society, 1st Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII. Graduate of Austin H.S., class treasurer, and captain of the basketball team, dear husband of the late Betty J., loving father of Ronald and Melanie (Kenneth) Hutter, proud grandfather of Jason and Hailey Hince, Patrick and David Hutter, fond brother of the late Hugh"Don" (the late Blanche), dear brother-in-law of the late Thomas (Betty) Trainer, the late Jean (Merton) Hubert, and Jack (Maureen) Trainer. Visitation Monday and Tuesday 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Rd. (at Cumberland), Park Ridge, JFK, exit Cumberland-North one mile. Funeral Wednesday, 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Mt. Emblem Cemetery. For Info. 847-832-5122

My work prevents me from attending Fred's wake, however, my sincere thoughts go to his family at this time. As a former employee of the BOE, I can honestly say that Fred was a great man whom I have had a large amount of respect for. He will be missed.
