Fred Brzozowski Obituary

I just randomly learned of Fred's passing and have no idea if the family will see this.
I am forever grateful for the memory of my experience at the CBOT. Mr. Brzozowski hired me as the first female runner at Chicago Grain in the early 80's. I became friends with Cheryl and Jeff during that time.
I know that feelings of loss for loved ones do not disappear with time. Condolences to all who loved him .

Was shocked to hear of Fred's death! Fred was a very dear close friend of mine. We used to call each other from time-to-time and tell a joke to each other. My goal was to get Fred to laugh and everytime he would burst into a laugh. He had a great laugh and will be deeply missed by many.



May time replace the hurt in your hearts with peaceful memories. With sincere sympathy, warm thoughts and deep love. No words could ever be enough...for the loss that is yours.

Dear Mrs. Brzozowski, Sue, Sheryl, Shelley,Freddy and Families.



I am so sorry. I just heard the news today. I would like all of you to know that your are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Fred was a great man. He will be missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I will always remember the great trips we shared as children with your family and all the other Board of Trade families many years ago. They are some of my fondest memories. Mr. B. was always larger than life, may God be with him.

Our sincere condolences to Laverne and the Brzozowski clan. We'll miss you Freddie.

It saddened me to hear about Mr. Brzozowski. I just found out yesterday (Sunday the 30th), after my second son was baptized. It seems unfair how God works giving us times of happiness and sorrow. Mr. Brzozowski's passing is one of those sorrows. Although I only knew of him during grade school as one the kids Dads he was always nice to me.

I was saddened to hear of Mr. Brzozowski's passing. He was a generous man, especially to my dad throughout the years. Those trips to the sky box were always such a fun outing for our family. We were so very appreciative that Fred & Freddie Jr. remembered my dad when the Sox went all the way last year. It meant the world to my dad to witness "History being Made" and he never would've been a part of it all, had it not been for Fred's generosity. You guys always made my dad feel like a million dollars, long after your days at St. Jude were gone.

I'm very sorry at your lose. I always loved the stories his daughters would tell about their fathers adventures.

My parents always spoke highly of Fred and his wife. I know they will miss him and I will never forget him inviting us to the box seats at Comiskey Park many many years ago.

Fred was a generous man. He treated me to many sox games. I have fond memories of Fred. He will be missed.

Our deepest sympathy to the Brzozowski Family. My husband and I were friends with Freddie and LaVerne when we were all newlyweds. We always considered them a special couple whose company we enjoyed. Thanks for the memories.

Although not a real uncle, my sister and I always called him Uncle Freddie. We all had wonderful times in the Sky box at White Sox Park. He was always fun to be around. My prayers are with you during this time.

Fred was always very nice to me, I still have my White sox pitchers jacket that were given to Chicago Grain traders 25 yrs ago.

Rest in peace Uncle Fred. Give my dad a hug for me!
