Frank Perez was a wonderful family man. I regret only having met him once or twice but those few hours with him will remain with me the rest of my life. Above all else his love for his wife and his HUGE family came through. He certainly loved taking photographs and sharing his many albums and memories. I am adding my name to the long list of those who will miss this amazing spirit. This site I found online while doing family geneology research. I am proud to Know Frank Perez is listed on my fmaily tree. God Bless this wonderful man. May he always be a loving example to us all. Marcia Macias

Dear Perez Family

Your Father, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather has had a great impact on the Brickman family, the Brickman Company and the landscape industry. Arriving at our company in mid-career, he joined my Dad, Woody Alan and I as the first four full- time employees. Quickly Frank’s work ethic and value system set a standard for all our field employees then, and his legacy lives on in the thousands who have followed. His integrity and dedication to quality and excellence was a major influence in the Company’s success. The numbers of us in the Company who worked with or knew Frank are diminishing, but his reputation continues to grow. On behalf of the Brickman family, my kids - Steve Scott, Sue and Julie (who knew him as Uncle Frank) and Sally and I and the entire Brickman Company team – we send you our heartfelt prayers and the appreciation to the Lord for sending us a very remarkable human being who will live on in the lives of the many, many people who knew him. I am very sorry that I can’t be with you all to celebrate his remarkable life. May God bless all of you.

We will never forget our grandfather. On the weekends, talking with him, eating with him and watching his favorite baseball team, the Cubs. My grandfather was a man where everything he did, was for his wife, his family and his friends. As my family grows I just hope that I can be the kind of man my grandfather was. In this world there should be more people like my grandfather. I will never forget my grandfather. I have made this promise to him to take care of my grandmother and I just hope that I can do as good as job as he has.

I was so sorry to learn yesterday of the passing of Uncle Frank. Having grown up with this kind gentleman in our lives was a gift to our family and we all have special memories of him. As the youngest of Bob's kids I have the fewest memories of Uncle Frank but remember his kind, affectionate way and how his gentleness would bring a smile to all of our faces. My Grandad, Theodore Brickman,Sr. and my father Bob have always spoken so highly of him not only as a wonderful and honest person and a real family man but also as an integral part of the success of the Brickman Companies. I'm sure Grandad and Uncle Frank are now reuniting and reconnecting as they prepare for yet another landscaping project together! What fun to think of those two dear men and the reunion they must be having. Uncle Frank made a tremendous impact on both of the Brickman families and we are all lucky to have known this wonderful man. My sincerest sympathy to Mrs. Perez and the whole Perez family on your loss.

Affectionately,

Cindy (Brickman) Parker

Frank Perez was my Great-Grandfather.ALot of people arent lucky enough to say that.I think one of the reasons why we were so close is because we were both die hard cub fans. (theyll do it one day gramps)Hes touched the hearts of all the people who heard of him but never had the chance to know him. Ill never forget the words of wisdom my grandpa used to say to me. my promise to him i will finish my education. I will miss him always and i will never forget the smile he would put on my face. i love you grandpa.Rest in Peace.

I was sad to learn today of Uncle Frank's passing. Such a wonderful man! He made visits to "the farm" a real treat for my sisters and me, and we have great memories of him from over the years. My family last saw Uncle Frank when he visited us after my grandfather, Theodore Brickman, Sr. passed away. We were honored that, in spite of his frailty, Uncle Frank went to the effort of paying his respects. He treated everyone with kindness and respect. Granddad was proud to call him a friend, and I have been proud and privileged to call this gentleman "Uncle". I hope Uncle Frank's family is comforted by all of the good memories and loving sentiments held by so many people whose lives were touched by this quietly and gently powerful man. I'm certain that Granddad and Uncle Woody will take good care of him!

We just heard this morning of Frank's passing. We will always remember this valued member of our family. Our kids could never have Christmas without seeing Uncle Frank. It was a pleasure and priviledge to know this fine man and his great family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

So sorry to hear about Frank's passing. As all of you Frank touched my life as soon as I went to work at Brickman back in 1966. I was priveliged to have got to work with him quite a bit. In the dictionary under Quality there should be a picture of Frank. I know the hole he will leave in your lives. I just lost my dad last week so I know first hand the loss. You have my deepest simphanthy. I will always consider my self lucky to have got to know and be a friend of his..John Borgers

Even though I personally never met Frank, his son John’s (Cece’s) description of him makes me wish I had. I want to express my personal and family wide sympathy to his large and wonderful family. I am sure his memory will live on forever.

It is with the fondest of memories that I think of Uncle Frank. I will always remember, as a boy working with him, his warm smile and his arm around my back, asking me how I was doing. I think it took me until I was a teenager to finally realize he was not really my uncle. But, I will always be proud to call him my uncle. As President of The Brickman Group, I tell the story of Uncle Frank all the time. The legacy he has left as the first Hispanic team member will never be forgotten. He is truly one of the most important people in the history of our company. But, most importantly, I will never forget what a kind, generous and caring man he was, a true hero.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Frank. When I first met Frank in 1973, when I started at Brickman he was one of the first people I got to know. Frank taught me the true meaning of quality and class. What he contributed to Brickman and all the people who ever worked for him throught out the industry went away with somthing new. He was truly a great man and friend.

On behalf of the Brickman organization I would like to express our condolences on the passing of Frank Perez. His legacy with the Brickman Group continues today. Without his early influences we would not have the strong relationships with our employees that we enjoy today. The respect for Frank was quite evident in how Theodore Brickman Sr. spoke about Frank Perez. He was proud to call Frank a friend.
