Frank Knight Obituary

GARDEN City, Ga. - Frank Knight, 79, of Garden City, died February 9, 2003, in Augusta. He was born May 6, 1923 in Bulloch County. He was a retired First Sergeant, Georgia Army National Guard, and was a Veteran of WW II, aboard the U.S.S., Leon, 1943 to 1945. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Opal Williams Knight. He is survived by a daughter, Gayle Knight Carpenter Harn and a son, Gene Knight; four grandchildren, William Keith Carpenter, Eric Shawn Knight, William Camden Carpenter and Scott Elliott Knight; six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Massey-Framke Funeral Care. Services will be Wednesday, February 12 at 2:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Garden City, with burial in the Lawrence Baptist Church Cemetery in Statesboro.
