To My Old Friend Frankie,
Our fathers were the most important people in our lives. You are one of my few friends that ever knew my father, as I am one of your few friends that knew your father a very long time. I realize our friendship is old, but it is very distant. Speaking of a long time ago compels me to reminisce of the countless times we shared as little boys talking to each other about our dads and our enormous love for them. Please remember, you are fortunate to have had many years with your father. I am sorry that he is gone. My friend, I know the pain you are feeling, and I will say a prayer for you and your family.
Sincerely yours,

Jose Maldonado
