Sorry for your loss, but wondering if Reverend Scott was a teacher at St. John Bosco School in Chicago in the early 1960s?

Our memories of Father Scott during the time he served us in Vancleave are many and especially of his pious devotion during the celebration of Mass. I was privileged to participate, many times, with Father as lecturer and extraordinary minister at Mass. We will miss Father Scott very, very much and will keep him in our prayers. May his soul and those of the faithful departed rest in peace. Jim & Nita Eide

Father Scott was a very loving and sweet man. I have met a lot of Catholic Priest in my life and his personality and gentle nature was amazing. This love and relationship with God really shined through him and he will never be forgotten.

What fond memories I have of Father Scott! Especially the first time I met him when he asked me to play something special for him "in Latin".

Father Scott - then at St Alphonsus "converted" my wife Lynda to Catholicism when we were stationed on a ship in the Ingalls shipyard. I was fortunate to visit him over the years since - most recently last month while he was in the Ocean Springs hospital. Hope there's room for this part - when he retired from the Latimer parish - I visited him on his moving day...the parishoners thought - for a short while - I was the new Priest! I couldn't even approach Fr Frank Scott in holiness or kindness. Lynda and I and Stephen will miss him.

We looked forward to Fr. Scott filling in for Fr. Hayes when he went on vacation. His stories were wonderful, but the way he celebrated mass was always moving. I'm sure he is in our loving fathers arms now. May he rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to Fr. Scott's family and Our Lady of Fatima parish. Fr. Scott loved the Church and was always available to help others. I'll always remember him and his angel pennies.

When Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast, Father Scott was substituting for our pastor at Our Lady of Victories Church. Four days after the storm, I made my way to the parish church and saw Father Scott praying his breviary outside the door, available to everyone who needed an encouraging word. He gave me Holy Communion that morning and, by the weekend, had resumed celebrating the Mass every morning.

Father's contribution to our healing immediately after Katrina is immeasurable. As a temporary priest, with the rectory in shambles, he had every excuse to abandon us. Yet, he stayed and suffered with us until our pastor could return. In the midst of chaos, he remained a true shepherd to us. ["Dear Lord, I praise Thee for such priests!"]

"Father Scott, I trust you will continue to pray for us, and I pray for your swift flight through the bright portal to the glowing firmament where the Risen King of Glory reigns in all His Majesty. And where you may pray Our Lady of Bon Secours in person to protect us from all hurricanes. (Father, I am holding you to your promise to provide me with one of Her statues. :-)) Good bye, my priest and my friend, until we meet again."

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
