Dear Uncle Babe,

We are so sorry we could not attend Auntie Fran’s funeral as Larry had surgery that day.

I feel very special and fortunate for having known and being part of her family. I will always remember Auntie Fran with her bright smile, her spirit and vitality and engaging nature and her strong ability to reach out in a loving manner to both those she knew well and those she only recently met or knew casually. I too remember your 50th wedding anniversary party. When we saw each other we started to jump up and down just like three high school girls. Larry always talks about his trips downtown with his “Aunt Fran”.

May the thousands of memories she created with you be a source of comfort to you now and throughout your life and your children’s lives.

A great deal of who I am today is because of Aunt Fran. She was always there for me from when I was little to the present. Even though we have not seen each other since the 50th wedding anniversary we did occaionally call each other and I will miss those phone calls very much. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Love and prayers, always, Loretta Kernan, Santa Clara, California

As I sit here, just returning from Fran's services I tried to remember when it was we were all last together. It was for Fran and Stan's 50th wedding anniversary. It seems that only she could get us all together. It also reenforces the fact that I am so greatful to be a part of your family. I love you all.....

As I sit here, just arriving home from the services for Fran I think about when it was we all were last together. It was for Fran and Stan's 50th wedding anniversary. It seems that only she could bring us all together. It also reinforced the fact I am truly grateful to be a part of your family.

I have fond memories of the Yucevicius Family and of course Mrs Y. I can remeber sitting in the back seat of her station wagon for many rides and was in awe of here driving skills. If I remeber correctly she hated to merge and drive on the Eisenhower Expressway. But somehow she always got to where she had to go. Now she is really where she had to go,smiling down on all of us. Thanks for the great memories Mrs Y and my prayers are with you and all your family. With sincere sympathies, mark saran

I remember Gramma playing Rummy with us, her grandchildren, laughing when she won a hand and even harder when she didn't. I remember her smiling, reciting "hot snots" as she mixed whiskey and raisins into a batch of patitsa. And I remember as a little kid her giggling when she whispered in my ear Slovenian curses for me to tell Uncle Frank and Big John.

And I feel fortunate to have talked with her just the other week. But as Grandpa always said when I remembered to call: it's good to be remembered, but it's better to be missed. See, all these things I can remember well. But, Grandma, I miss you. I always will.

Because I love you.
