Remembering what a fine, courageous and caring lady Fran was.

I'm sorry I never met Frances, but her memory blesses us all. My profound sympathy to the whole family.

I was very sad to receive the news from Al in his annual holiday letter about the death of Fran and her five-year battle with leukemia. I will keep Al and the Domanski family in our prayers through the Advent and Christmas season.

I was so shocked to hear of Fran's passing! For 44 years, Fran maintained a connection with me through her heartfelt Christmas letters. She embodied love, and her memory will forever reside in my heart. Sending much aloha to everyone during this deeply sorrowful time. Love you, Fran!

Dear Al, it was with a heavy heart that I read your family message for the holidays this year. You have my deepest sympathy and my condolences to the whole family.
I was traveling and returned just prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Your envelope was in the collected mail. I saved it for when I had the time to read it completely. I am apologetic my note to you is belated. You are a great guy, and Frances was a great person. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

Dear Al, my lawyer buddy from so long ago and over the years, I'm so sorry for your loss of your dear wife Fran. I was very touched by your wonderful letter about Fran and your lives together. I loved the part about her regaining consciousness after being pronounced dead, and then being able to have loved ones around. A miraculous blessing in the midst of such a painful situation on so many levels. Fran sounds like a wonderful woman and wife and a blessing to you for all those years. David Hejna

Fran was an accomplished woman in so many ways. Get ready, Heaven, you've got a class act coming in. Our deepest condolences to Al, Maria, John and the grandchildren.

Fran & Al opened their home to us as we were two young adults from Pittsburgh starting our marriage off as we moved to Chicago in 1992. We ended up finding a house to rent within walking distance to their home in Western Springs. We only spent one year as neighbors but the love Fran and Al shared with us will never be forgotten. I pray for the entire Domanskis family and I am honored to have such fond memories of knowing this family. Fran will always be remembered and may her legacy of love continue to grow abundantly.

Fran and Al took us young strangers into their house back in 1992, after traveling from Pittsburgh to start our lives living in Chicago. Seeing a young Maria and Jonukas on the stairs looking to see who has arrived is a memory I will always cherish. What a blessing as We ended up finding a house to rent in the same neighborhood and became friends. What a beautiful family and life Fran led. She will always have a warm loving legacy and our love for her will be eternal. We were blessed to have her as a friend. God bless this entire family.

May her memory be eternal . She was brilliant and so humble and kind, full of grace and dignity and quiet elegance. Her strong faith in God and family gave her strength and power and energy and a cheerful positive attitude. What a role model! What a friend. We met in 1978 when she was working on her Ph.D and visited her next door neighbor, my mom, for an afternoon break. So many connections. The rest is history. . Memory eternal.

I remember Fran from when she was my Ed. Psych instructor at the UM School of Education. I enjoyed her and her class. May God grant her eternal memory and blessed repose.
