Whitefield, Florence "Chickie" 96, beloved wife of the late Robert; loving mother of Edward (Sheila), Rita "Cissy" Schoenfeld-Gordon (Harry), Lynne (Malcolm) Pollack and the late Helene "Honey" (John) Pickens; cherished grandmother of Mitchell, Elliot, Edye, Leslie, Lori, Deborah, Scott, Andrew, Robyn, Brian and Lauren; adored great grandmother of 11; fond sister of Lillian and the late Elsie, Edith, and Seymour; dear aunt and friend of many. Chapel Service Tuesday 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. A sad goodbye to Gertie and Melvin Greenman's dear friend. My fond memories of Chickie will contine. She had a wonderful smile and her presence brightened a room.

I am very sorry for your loss. Chickie was my grandmother Gertie Greenman's best friend. In fact in later years they lived in the same building in Morton Grove. I live in Oakland, California now but miss the stories of Chickie, Bob, Gertie and Melvin. To me they will always remain vibrant in my memory.
