Florence Rios Obituary

Rios, Florence G. (nee Geidras) 88, born March 2, 1925, in Chicago, IL, passed April 12, 2013 after a prolonged illness. Beloved wife of the late Alfred M. Rios, CPD; loving mother of Renee O'Donnell (Daniel), adoring grandmother of Alexandra "Lexi" O'Donnell; beloved sister to Bernice Sajdak (late Ed), Genevieve Terendy (late John) and Helen Kaplan (late Ed). Florence will be missed by nephews, Tom Sajdak (Verna), John Terendy (Danielle Montana). Florence was born and grew up in Bridgeport, but spent most of her life in the Little Village and Clearing neighborhoods in Chicago. She was a prolific dancer at the Aragon Ballroom, where she met her beloved husband, Alfred, while enjoying her ballroom, jitterbugging, and polkas. Visitation, 9:00AM, followed by funeral mass at 10:30AM, Saturday, April 20th at Saint Symphorosa Church, 6135 S. Austin Ave., Chicago. Burial at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, 1888 87th Street, Evergreen Park, IL 60805.

So sorry to hear about your loss. God cares so deeply about us that he has gone to great lengths to make the fulfillment of his purpose a certainty. (John 3:16). One of his promises is no more death. Another of his promises is that those in his memory will be brought back to life. May these facts bring you some comfort.
