My mother, Mae Smicklas, was Florence's neighbor on Grove Ave. in Berwyn for many years. Florence and several neighbors on Grove Ave. were close for decades. My mother is living with my family in Bolivia, NC after moving with us to Ohio from Berwyn in 2006. She always spoke of Florence as a great neighbor who she enjoyed visiting on a regular basis. My mother, Mae, is 102 and in good health. She was very sorry to hear of Florence's passing and we spoke of her for quite a while.
Our condolences to her family.
