Gram, It has been over a week since you left us and I lost the last grandparent that I had on this Earth. I will always have the fondest memories of you and never forget how good you were to me and all of your grandchildren. I can still remember how special you made me feel when I would come for a visit. The lovely blanket that you made for me is still with me and I will cherish it until the end of my days. Please know that you will always be in my thoughts and I have to believe you are in a better place and finally at peace. I hope that someday we will meet again. I love you. Your grandson, Keith

Mrs. Abulton, thank you for making me all those warm blankets when I was born. Mom kept them so my kids could have them. And thank you for always being so good to me. Me and Mom love and miss you. Danny

While it is rightly said that every death diminishes us all, the death of Evelyn A. Abluton diminishes us more than most. She was a mother in law to one of my favorite Uncles, and the Mother to one of my favorite Aunts. And the grandmother to my two most prized and dearest cousins. She was for me the kindest, most compassionate and honest human being that you can search a life time trying to find and never meet. She was special to all of us and all members of the Ochsner family. I know that I am better for having had her in my life. Her wonderful compassion, stability, loyalty, kindness and devotion and her brilliant mind, and phenominal abilities in the arts, are things that come first to my thoughts. God Bless her as she I know is thrilled being with all her loved ones again that went before her to spirit. Love you so much Mrs. Abluton....Laura Matook
