Eugene Fedorski Obituary

Fedorski, Eugene J.

Eugene Joseph Fedorski, 86 years young, of North Riverside, IL, formerly of Forest Park, IL, passed away May 13, 2022 peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. Illinois National Guard Veteran. Loving husband and best friend for 53 years to Mary Fran (nee Halpin). Devoted and loving dad of Jim (Kim) Fedorski, Maggie (Bob) Filec, Tim (Amy) Fedorski and Dan (Dana) Fedorski. Cherished Grandpa "Geno" of Emily (Jeremy) Bernas, Robby (Sarah) Filec, Frankie (Coco Murray) Filec, Mary Filec, Kenny and Katie Fedorski, Meghan, Hayley, Will and Brynn Fedorski and Abigail, Madison, Daniel, Davis, Benjamin, Samuel, Caroline and Camden Fedorski. Adored great grandpa "Juju" of Francesca and Nora Bernas. Devoted son of the late Joseph and Ann (nee Gush) Fedorski. Loving brother of the late Joanne Cesare. Fond brotherin-law of Susanne (Peter) O'Malley, Jeannine (Bill) Havlik, Nancy Kay (the late Tom) Haran, Margie Callahan and Michael (Marge) Halpin. Loving uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. Gene was a lifelong, accomplished accordionist and music teacher, who, at an early age, won the Morsby Sax talent show on WGN. He brought music alive to those from all walks of life-from a former U.S. President and former Illinois Governor, to his most precious audience- his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Everyone who was blessed to know him, loved him. He was a snappy dresser and loved a good McDonald's vanilla milkshake. Gene lived to serve his family. One of his greatest joys was cheering on his kids and grandkids at their many sporting events and extra curricular activities throughout their school years. During his retirement he enjoyed golfing with his wife and family and vacationing with them in Siesta Key, Florida and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He was chauffeur extraordinaire for his grandkids and many of their friends, neighbors and classmates. He was quietly faithful to his Lord, living life with a servant's heart-always generous to those in need, rooting for the underdog, helping those who could not help themselves. Gene was a sensitive soul, would cry at commercials, movies and momentous life events. He was a member of The American Accordion Club, a popular employee at The Chicago Board of Trade and a longtime member of Christ Church of Oak Brook. In his final act of generosity, his body will be donated to The Anatomical Society. A celebration of life will be held Friday May 20th at 10:30am at Palos Community Church 12312 S. 88th Ave. Palos Park, IL 60464. Memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KuratkoNosek.com.
