Dear Maureen & Marc,
On behalf of my entire family, we are truly saddened by your loss. On any given day or night at Eli's Steakhouse - The Place for Steaks - Esther (Mrs. personality) would meet and greet people often strangers and make them feel especially welcomed! Because of the tourism Eli's saw she was a special Ambassador for Chicago.
Her fabulous charm and beauty will be missed by those of us who were lucky enough to know her.
Her legacy lives on through you... her family. She is now reunited with Eli and that is one heck of a dinner party! We have all lost a very special person. Our prayers are with you knowing how difficult this time must be.
Love,
Janice Berman

Marc and Family,
Our deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family on the loss of your mother. I had known your mother for many years being Lilyan Harris's niece. Your mother was a strong, intelligent businesswoman as well as a loving mother. She will be missed by many.

Dear Marc,
We are so very sorry about the loss of your mother. Your parents were both pillars of the community; Chicago is a better place because of them. Any American serviceman or any hungry person was welcome to a free meal. That’s the kind of people they were. Their legacy lives on and that light will never go out. It lives on through you as exemplified in your generosity and dedication and how much you do for others. Our school is a better place because of your hard work and selflessness.
Deepest condolences from the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences
