I met Ernie when he was 34 and I was a teenager dating his daughter. I was 16 or 17. Ernie became a father figure to me and he taught me much about life. We worked together for several years and he always treated me well sharing all his experiences (and there were many). Ernie was the hardest working man I ever met. At 21 I could barely keep up with him. Beneath the tough exterior was one of the most sensitive and caring people I have known. He helped so many people in small ways that were not always obvious. I often think of Ernie and I am glad he is at peace.

My deepest sympathy to your family from the Weyhes in Northeast Ohio. It was lovely meeting Ernie, Chuck, and Diane in Huron as part of the Weyhe family research project that Chuck has been involved in. Thanks for sharing all that information with us and including us in your family reunion. We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.
