Emmet Parks Obituary
Emmet was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle….
Early in life Emmet confessed his belief in Jesus Christ and was Baptized. He was a member of West Point Baptist Church. Emmet attended Wendell Phillips High School in Chicago, IL. He was on the football team and an excellent art student. Emmet lived life to the fullest while having a career with Com Ed. He was a Volunteer Firefighter with the Chicago Fire Department. He served in the National Guard and was a Scout Master for Troop 563. Emmet was a loyal Chicago Bears Fan. His friends would join him to watch the game. His pets were tropical fish. He was a model train enthusiast. Emmet traveled to many places. He loved being among people. He had an Annual Billards Party with the guys. He enjoyed dancing. He would say: "put the music on " with such a vibrant smile. Emmet will be sorely missed by family and friends. We will miss him saying "I'm hanging in there" and "Thank you" May Emmet sleep in Heavenly peace.
