Emilia Ventura Obituary

Ventura, Emilia 91, of Somonauk, IL passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013 at her daughter's home in Somonauk, IL. She was born August 1, 1921 in Italy the daughter of Giuseppe and Chiarina (Falbo) Granata. She married Giuseppe Ventura on February 26, 1942 in Celico, Italy. She was a member of St. Celestine Catholic Church in Elmwood Park, IL. She was a devoted wife to her husband Guiseppe and loved her family very much. She is survived by three daughters, Piera "Paula" (Steven) Gamble, Franca DeMarco, and Teresina Greco; eight grandchildren, Pamela Gamble, Melissa Benson, Stefanie Roberts, Anthony Greco, Julie Greco, Amy DeMarco, Joe DeMarco and Robert DeMarco; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, her husband, two sisters and two brothers. Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in the mausoleum at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in River Grove, IL. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL. Memorials may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
