Strandquist, Emil T. age 85, beloved husband of the late Loretta (nee Drinane), loving father of Richard (Joanne), Elaine Newton, Christine Strandquist (Steven Williams), Paul (JoJo) and Emil Jr. (Christine) Strandquist, dearest grandfather of Lauren, Thomas, Megan, Caitlin, Brian, Evan, Maggie, Brad, Maureen and Conor, dear brother of the late Norman (Patricia) and Florence (Robert) Keyes, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. A retired 30 year employee of Fisher Body Works-GM. Veteran U.S. Army Staff Sergeant in the Pacific Theatre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association. Funeral Thursday, 9:45 a.m, from Thomas McInerney's Sons Funeral Home, 7901 S. Komensky Ave., to St. Germaine Church for Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. Visitation Wednesday, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. 773-585-0702To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

It won't be the same not seeing Emil through the dining room window...my Mom waved hello everyday. Or popping in with some lunch or dinner. Well at least he is at home with Loretta now.
