I remember my uncle Elwood as being my favorite uncle he always was smiling when he walked into his home I don't remember him ever being anything but a proud dad and always seemed to be proud of others.I'm glad my mom got to talk to him before she passed she told me they spoke of old times and all the friends they remembered and that made her happy.Best wishes to the family and I know you all are saddened by the loss of a special dad.Gene and I send our deepest sympathy.

The Gernady family, I say that like I feel that we are a part of it. We are saddened by the loss of my Father’s Best Friend and your father, grandfather and great grandfather Woody. However any pain that he had is now gone. He is with Irene and she too was my parents Best Friend. They sure were a hard act to follow. We have so many memories of The Gernady’s. From Coca Cola days at Riverview to fishing on Plum Lake. From Coca Cola picnics to Christmas parties and then the fun time we had at the house on Berteau. On fishing trips to Wisconsin, Woody would always want to ride with Grandpa Tod. You see Grandpa Tod knew all of the back roads and both he and Woody would always get to the cottage first. You always knew when they were coming down the lake because you would always hear Tod and Woody singing. Listen, I think I hear them now. “Down by the Old Mill Stream Where I First Met You”. Memories of both Woody and Irene will always be there for those that enjoyed what a wonderful couple. I am sure that both of them will be getting together with our Mother Dolores and Brother Bill. We will bring the Coke Woody, it is your turn to buy the minnows. We need you to do that before you write the next insurance policy. We love you my friend.
