Ellen White Obituary
Ellen "Nell" White née Whelan born in Rathgormack, Co. Waterford, Ireland, age 75, of Orland Park passed suddenly. Loving mother of Deirdre (Steve) Jones, Niamh (Chris) Poole and Thomas White. Proud grandmother of Skyla Marie, Madison Kathleen, Mikayla Clare and Vivian Ray. Dearest sister of Breeda, Tom, Jenny, William, Cathy, Mary, Cora, Matt and Bernie. Former spouse of Patrick White. Preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Crissie Whelan. Ellen was a selfless soul who loved dancing, flowers, gardening, and her Irish heritage. She dedicated her life to being a nurse and taking care of people. Her greatest joy was spoiling her grandkids. She was taken from us too soon and will be missed dearly. Visitation for Ellen will be held Monday, May 22, 2023, 3:00 PM until time of Chapel Service at 7:30 PM at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 Harlem Avenue, Tinley Park, IL. 60477. Livestream is available for the service at 7:30 via https://www.asimplestreaming.com/ebwhite. Interment will be private. Nell was a dear friend for years before her kids were born and 5 years after that. We worked as nurses together! I loved her humor and laughter. She was a loyal and trustworthy girlfriend.
We had many great times together!
