Elizabeth Scheda Obituary

Scheda, Elizabeth "Bette" (nee Johnson), 88, of Schaumburg, passed away on July 11. Beloved wife of the late Joseph for 49 years. Loving mother of Elizabeth (James) Schnidt, Mary Daniels and the late Patricia (Wayne) Cook. Cherished grandmother of Julie, Dionne, Karen, Greg, Scott, Jeff, Mark and the late Kristi. Proud great-grandmother of Patricia, Mary Beth, Makenzie, Riley, Regen, Kailynn, Jenna, Nicole, Katie, Ryan, Alexis, Andrew and Zachary. She leaves behind many other family members and loving friends and will be remembered fondly by all. She was born in Menominee, Michigan but lived most of her life in Chicago. Affectionately known by her loved ones as "Nana", Bette inspired many by her kindness, generosity and compassion. She was a blessing to those she met, an inspiration and role model and a joy to her family and friends. Visitation from 3 to 9:00 P.M. Sunday at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 330 W. Golf Rd., Schaumburg. Funeral prayers 9:15 A.M. at the funeral going to Church of the Holy Spirit, 1451 W. Bode Rd., Schaumburg for a Mass at 10:00 A.M, Monday, July 16. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated for the church.
