Elizabeth Alaniz Obituary
Elizabeth "Dolly" Alaniz (nee Meta) of Chicago passed away February 13, 2023 peacefully in the presence of her family shortly after celebrating her 89th birthday. Beloved wife for 54 years of the late Samuel Alaniz. Loving mother of Rosanne Duewerth. Dearest grandmother of Samantha Bingham (Chad Mello), Michael Bingham, and Kristin Duewerth (Mario Arevalo). Cherished great-grandmother of Rowan Mello. Fond sister of Louis Meta, Virginia Gutierrez, Patricia Gazda, and Bernadette "Bernie" Smith. Dear sister-in-law of Robert Alaniz, Arthur Alaniz, Angie Rubio, and Anna Marie Rubio.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 19th, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Casey & Rios Funeral Home, 4540 West Diversey Avenue, Chicago, IL 60639. Funeral prayers will begin on Monday, February 20th, 9:15 A.M. from Casey & Rios Funeral Home proceeding to St. Viator Church, 4170 W. Addison St., Chicago for Mass of Catholic Burial at 10:00 A.M. Interment St. Adalbert.
