I USED TO WORK FOR ELI AND LARRY FIELD FROM 1977-WHEN THEY PASSED AWAY

My brother Robert Weinberger and I send our condolences to the Field family. Our father, Richard Weinberger, was Mr. Field's attorney for many years. He had the highest esteem for Mr. Field and often told us what a fine person he was. May his memory be for a blessing.

I worked for Field Container for over 20 years and during that time Mr. Field never failed to acknowledge the people who worked in the plant.

He was a very caring person and will be greatly missed.

To Larry Field: I wish to express to you and your family my sincere condolences for the loss of your father. As a former employee at Field Container it was always a pleasure to see Mr. Field so enthusastically involved with the company -- especially the birthday cards to employees and his rounds during the golf outing. Thanks for the memories Mr. Field.

I want to send my deepest sympathy to the Field's family at this sad time. Your family is in my prayers.

To Larry Field: Your father was an exceptional person who will be long remembered by the Chicago community. For several decades it was a privilege to be his colleague in the work of the Jewish Federation and its many programs. His geneerosity and personal friendship served as great examples and a source of inspiration. I was privileged to know his friendship and loyalty. I extened my deepest condolences to everyone in your family at this time. I've worked for Eli and Dina for over 14 years and he along with everyone in your family, became like a second family for me. I know that this is a very hard time for you and your family but I know what you're going through. I'm going to miss all of his jokes, smiles, and stories. I've learned so much through working for him. Mr. Field was a great individual, a wonderful father for his children, along with being a wonderful great grandfather and grandfather for his grandchildren. He was also a very caring and loving husband for Mrs. Field. I will really miss him.

I remember when Mr. Field came to my new house to wish me luck along with his wife. He talked politics with everyone and joked around with my daughters. I feel that I am very blessed to have been able to meet such a wise individual. I extend my condolences to your entire family at this time.

To Eli Field's Family from my Family. It was sad to learn of the lost of your father. Myself and my family would like to keep our prays with you at this time and aways. I know Eli will be missed but we as his friends at Marseilles will know the family will keep up with his hard work and memories. I recall a time I had a talk with Eli that was at the 50th company outing. My family had just pulled in and Eli was on his way to get his hat out of his car and stop to talk with us that was one of time I will keep in my memories that show he cared for all.

The first time I met Eli, he came to the Marion plant and I just became the shipping manager. He asked me to join him as he took a walk through the warehouse. The whole time he had a smile on his face and you could tell that he really enjoyed the folding carton business.

Although I only had the pleasure to meet Mr. Eli Field a couple of times, it was clear he was doing what he loved. The respect in the company went deep as everyone addressed him as 'Mr. Field'. My sympathies to the family. Mr. Field lived a full and enjoyable life.

You taught me many good things. I am lucky to have spent so many good times with you. You came to me for golf lessons and I learned so much!

My deepest sympathy to the Field family.Mr Field came to the Edison shop many times and I had the privilege to meet him.I always looked forword to the birthday card he sent to us evey year.

I met eli in 1954 when we were both saying kaddish for our parents and remained friends from that time. Eli was a true role model for all who worked for Jewish Community affairs. He was always available to help with any problem and need. He will be missed by all of us. Our condolences to his wonderful family.

The very first time I met Mr. Field was some tweleve years ago.I still remember it clearly. I had been working for Field Container about six months. He introduced himself and asked who was I and if he could help me. I replyed that I was a salesman and had just started with the company. He said "have you made any good sales yet" I said I did. He said "then don't stand here talking to me get out there and sell some more". So I followed his advice and am still selling! I will miss him greatly.

My most vivid memory of Mr. Field.....a few years ago I made a trip to Field Corporate for an appointment with a VP of Sales. As I waited in the lobby, Mr. Field happened by. He stopped and asked if I had been helped. I explained to him I was an employee of Field Container based in Marion,OH. His response? "Why are you just sitting here quietly? Raise a little hell. Don't let these people keep you waiting." I found Mr. Field to be delightful, amusing and very much a gentleman. He is dearly missed.

Eli was a great person and will always be remembered for his pleasent dispostion and the way he seemed to enjoy life.

I loved listening to Eli's stories. He was quite the human being and certainly will be missed. Loosing a father, grandfather and great grandfather is always a hard task. My prayers go out to his family.

My Dad, Edward Glazier and ELi were great buddies. I remember 45 years ago when my Mother Shirley died he was the first person at our home.I have fond memories of your parents at Beth El...I thought your Mother looked like Elizabeth Taylor.

Only remember meeting Eli once at an API or PPC dinner way back when. I have seen some of his vision and the people the vision gave employment too. He will be missed.

My memories of Eli Field - he was a fair man, not only wasn't afraid to tackle what some may have thought shouldn't have been tackled, but did it with heartfelt meaning and did it well. My sympathies to the family.

Our memories of Eli Field are many, but the one that sticks out in our minds here at Pekin - is when others were ready to give up on us, Eli would not. For this we all are most appreciative. We will never forget him.

I only met Mr. Field one time at Pekin Paperboard, it was a tough time for the business, the compassion he showed for all the workers here was something I had never seen before. This will stay with me for the rest of my life and makes me very proud to be part of the Field Family. My sympathy to the family.
