The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want...Psalm 23
To Our Beloved Mother, and family,Johnson joins me is spirit
from Nigeria in saying...
Dea will be greatly missed, and we
will always remember him. He was our
root. He made us, taught us what he
knew, cared for us, loved us, reproved us, rebuked us, and always
made sure we had what was necessary.
The days, and nights of his sickness
were not burdens for us, but challenges that got us prepared for
today. He taught us well. He was thee Most honest man I have ever known in my life.He was true, and He
was real. The nights I sat at his
bed side allowed me to learn more about him. Allowed me to appreciate
him more. The longest night of my life was sunday,September 19th.2004.
It was a time I had to pray, sing,
and give thanks for my Daddy's ,Our
Daddy's life, well lived. The Lord promises us 70 years. Dea lived pass
70 years. Amen. He was on loan to us
in this life. Just as we were on loan to him. He was not totally ours,we are not totally his. But I
am so thankful, and honored that GOD
gave Dea to us , and we to him. To
my mother, Lady Lanzie Harris, you
gave him all his roses, long
stems, while he was alive. Thank you
mother dear, being the lady he chose
so many years ago to be his beloved
wife. We love you mother, and we are
here for you. The Lord bless you, theLord keep you , the Lord make his
face to shine upon you, and give you
and the extended Harris families
peace. It is well. And all God's
people said ... Amen

To my family: It is said "There is no greater love than a man that would lay down his life for a friend". I also believe there is no greater love than the love & lessons given to a child that is not your own & given as if they were your own. For the love given to myself, my sister, my cousins, the in-laws & soon to be in-laws is a great one that will always be cherished. Opa is with us always as protection, strength & wisdom from above. While Nana is here to give us the support & comfort we so greatly need as we continue to grow. Thank You Eternally.

Dear Mrs. Harris,
I had no opportunity to meet your husband or you. But my correspondence with your daughter Regina, and her tender evocations of family life in her stories can only have come from a rich childhood. For that, you and your husand not only deserve a great deal of credit but incur the gratitude of faithful readers everywhere.
May God bless you and keep vivid your memories of the best times your family shared.

As history has long taught us, the winter of your sorrow will soon turn to the joy of spring. Let not the blizzard of your tears blind you to this for recognize that death is transitory; it is a passage to a new world to which we must all one day set sail but love love is eternal, sustaining us in this world and the next. So be stong, be proud, and live, live, live!
