Elena Saclarides Obituary

Reading through the New Trier West '73 website, I'm saddened to see that your wife, mother and grandmother had passed so early. Thoughts of dancing with Dana (as she was known in high school), both in Advanced Dance and at the Greek Fair, awaken joyous memories. May your family, her legacy, be comforted throughout the years by her memory.

Elena was my best friend she was the most loving special person in in the word. I miss her so much. May she RIH

So sorry for your loss. Elena's father did the surgery on my late brother George and saved his life. He lived many years after that. His death was not caused by that problem
Elena was too young for death but we don't have a choice as to when we are summoned.

I am so sorry I missed your services. I always enjoyed talking to Elena when she worked in Lincoln Park. She was so supportive of our head nurse Gayle in her illness. I wanted to say how proud her children made her, esp their volunteer work, the getting into medical school, the getting into graduate education at U of I, the Spanish translating at Community Health, the Evanston Children's Cradle work, their sense of adventure, etc. Your Mom loved you all so much!

I'm so very sorry to learn of Dana's (as I called her when we were kids) passing. The Economou family was a big part of my grade school,high school, and young adult life with Dana being the younger sister of my very good and long-time childhood friend, Stacy (Tasia). Dear Saclarides Family,

I am very sorry to hear the news of Elena's passing. I am out of town and don't think I will be back in time for the service. My thoughts are with your family. Elena was a wonderful person. I remember the many times she volunteered at Sunset Ridge School. I still have the beautiful handmade gifts I received from the Saclarides family over the years. I especially love the hand painted GWC t-shirt. Elena will be missed but has left behind a great legacy of kindness and giving to others.
