my mom taught me all things I know of a positive nature. We hear it all the time, mom is great -- it is their role to be so. She said to my sister I recall.....you have a good education degree from good university and a Business expert by many measures. "you are embarking on the toughest job in the world and with no training --other than our sensibilities. Being a mother is a tremendous responsibility, etc" Mom taught me everything I know. Always the back stop to encourage, support and encourage some more. No words can replace my mom and her positive influence of ethical and proper conduct in all I am and pursue. She made me what I am and balanced my father's influence to be strong and also proper, but mom back stopped me all the way. She saved and made me what I am. her loving son Tom

To my Cannon cousins,
Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your mother. Aunt Eileen was a very special person and a loving Aunt. Tara & I are so glad we traveled to Chicago to be with her and each of you for her 90th birthday a year ago. Surely, Aunt Eileen will rest in peace, reunited in heaven with Uncle Jim and her son, Jim.

I have nothing but good memories of my Aunt Eileen...and enjoyed time in her company in Chicago and Florida...she was a wonderful and charming host and her family reflected her generosity of spirit. This has been a desperately sad summer for the Cannon family and I grieve with you from thousands of miles away...but you are close to my heart always

In making the Christmas rounds...the last stop was always at the Cannons with Aunt Eileen making sure everyone was properly attended to....Father Mike in the Kings chair and a brilliantly lit tree is a childhood memory I will always have. Then darting out onto Maplewood to start up the vinyl upholstered cars in sub zero weather.
She was so terrific to us as little guys and obviously a great Mom to all of you. So proud.
Thanks Aunt Eileen.
You helped shape the fine character of not only your five kids but of many of the extended family that were lucky enough to have spent time in your always good-natured presence .
