Such a talented and kind-hearted man; such a loss. I knew and worked with Hugh in Toronto in the early 1970's. His energy, intelligence and appetite for life was equalled by the empathy and compassion he showed for so many people around him. A showman but moreso an exceptional friend. Most sincere condolences.

David, It has been a very long time since those crazy Silvestri days when I met you & Hugh. But I still have memories that easily come back to me of laughter, friendship and support. I am so sad and sorry for your loss.

To the Manning Family, David and Hugh's friends we extend our deepest sympathy. It has been many years since we last met Hughie but we communicated with one another during the months leading to his mother's passing in 2005. He was joyful person with a great sense of humour.

David, I'm so very sorry that you've lost Hugh...we've all lost him.

Hugh was a wonderful, talented and funny man. Always quick with a joke and ready to have fun.

The many Boxing Day parties that Patty and I attended will always be remembered, you guys are such great hosts. We always knew to bring an extra bottle of vodka...just in case.

Hugh was a friend of mine and I'll miss his more that I can say. Bless you David.

David,
I've spent the last couple of days in two places, around the kitchen table on Roscoe and in the back yard on Dakin and the soundtrack was Hugie's magnificent laughter. Cliff and I love you.
