He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific theater. Edwin was honorably discharged in 1946.

The family would like to extend its appreciation for the care provided to Edwin during his illness by Drs. Oscar Pizcon, Jila Otarod and John Kutz; their staff; and the staffs of Mercy Hospital Special Care Unit, Allied Skilled Nursing Facility and Old Forge Davita Dialysis Unit.

Though I didn't know Edwin personally, he was my beloved's father's roommate at Allied Skilled nursing. He showed great poise and character even when things didn't look good. Prayers are ongoing for Edwin along with family, friends, and former students.

I would like to extend my sympathies to the family of Ed Cardoni. We were neighbors for many years on Gibbons Street. Ed was a wonderful teacher and a great gentleman. He was our summer instructor at Connell's Park for years and he was tremendous to all of us. My son Joseph admired and spoke of Ed as a good friend. May he rest in peace with the Lord.

Ed Cardoni was a wonderul man, congenial and warm with a great sense of humor. I taught with Ed for 33 years at WSHS and there was no finer gentleman in the school. He was admired by students and faculty. I am sorry to be unable to extend my condolences in person.

I would like to extend my sympathies to the family of Mr. Cardoni, he was a wonderful teacher and a great person. May he rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon him.
My Dad (Fred) was good friends with Mr. Cardoni, I believe they bowled together and Mr. Cardoni let me know on the first day of school in 9th grade that he had my Dad's permission to reprimand me and that ALL Cardonis were smart. I sure tried to live up to that for him. I truely loved this man as a teacher.

We loved Eddie so much! When I was a little girl, my cousin, Joann and I went to Aunt Tilly's house for our "vacation". Eddie was always joking and teasing us and all through my life, my memories of him are associate with fun and laughter. The family lost one of its stars!
