Wajs Sr., Edward R. 85, of Elkhorn, died Monday June 7, 2010, son of the late Adalbert and Gladys (Nowotarska) Wajs, former Superintendent of O'Hare Postal Facility. WWII Veteran awarded Bronze Star. Beloved husband of the late Mary S. (Nee Carey), loving father of four, Suzanne Zellner, Patricia (Robert) Drake, Sarah (Richard) DeLazzer, and Edward R. Wajs Jr., grandfather of eight, Sara (Scott) Hawken, Robert (Mindy) Zellner, Jennifer (David) Brueggeman, Rebecca (Keith) Loehrke, Jessica (Dan Harrington) Schalkowski, Lesley (Brian) Baehman, Jason (Kate) DeLazzer, and Elizabeth (Nick Moehling) DeLazzer, 13 great-grandchildren, Will, Jett, Owen Hawken, Callie, Izzy, Livvy Zellner, Kyle, Katie, Ashley, Alex Loehrke, Ava, Quinn, and Roman Baehman. Memorial Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 107 W. Walworth St. Elkhorn, WI. Visitation at church one hour prior to Mass.
