Sweeney, Edward F. 71, native of Bally Croy, County Mayo, Ireland. Beloved husband for 50 years of Sharon (nee Wilkey), devoted father of Kevin (Bessie), Deborah O'Neill, Kathleen Walsh and Theresa (Geoff) Bonneville, proud grandfather of Megan Sweeney, Matthew, U.S.M.C. and Sarah Walsh, Stephen and Katherine Bonneville and Christian Vercruysse, loving brother of Jim, Peggy (Tom) Fallon, Joe, Betty (Pat) Folan and the late Catherine (John) Donavon, also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Friday, 9:15 a.m. from Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, to St. Louis de Montfort Church, Mass 10 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. 32 year employee of Peoples Gas Co. Loyal member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Arcadia Florida, 207 Magnolia St., Arcadia, FL, 34266, will be appreciated. Info,, 708-636-1193.
