Edward C. 'Sonny' Morrison II
Age 67 died Saturday after a short illness. Born in Joplin, Mo., he lived in Canton and Auburndale, Fla. most of his life. He had worked at Hercules/ White Engines and was a former volunteer fireman at Jackson Township Station Two. Sonny was a member of the Eagles, Moose, and Louisville Amvets. He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran and then served with the Ohio National Guard in Unit 1416 until his retirement.
Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Mike Allman of Louisville; son and daughter-in-law, Edward C. III and Rhonda Morrison of Canton; four grandchildren, Kristine and Michael Allman and Edward C. IV 'Eddie' and Kimberly Morrison; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Judy and Owen Cheyney of Massillon and Karen Bartlett of Uhrichsville; and brother, Dave Morrison of Homeworth. Preceded in death by his parents, Edward C. and Alice Morrison; brother, Ronald Morrison; niece, Sharon O'Connor; and nephew, John Fannin.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Deem officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the USO, P. O. Box 96322, Washington D.C. 20090-6322. Condolences may be made to:
