Tot the family of Ed Morris. I played a small part at WSNS-TV back in the late 70's and early 80's but Ed Morris is one of the people that I remember vivid from that era. I'm sure he will be missed in the Chicago broadcast industry.

My heartfelt condolences go to the Morris family. I remember Ed as a wonderful person, teacher and contributor to Columbia College. His passion for teaching and devotion to students is something he will always be remembered for. As my colleague put it, Ed you are indeed a treasure, and will be missed by all of us.

Ed Morris was the one who broke me into this business of broadcasting back in 1979. He almost always got what he wanted in this business, and he got me to WSNS-TV Chicago. He got me again to work part time for his Morris Communications. And again he "almost" got me to teach at Colombia College (I bowed out!). The opportunities that I have along with countless others in this business are due to Father Ed. Thanks Pal! You will always be "On the Air!"

There will be a empty part to our lives forever more because we won't have Ed with us, but our memories will be strong and vivid for as long as we live. Ed will be sorely missed by everyone he ever touched.

I was fortunate enough to work for Ed Morris from 1972 to 1982, at the old Channel 44. He always upheld the highest ideals of our business. Ed was a real broadcaster, in the very best sense of the word. He'll live forever in the lives and memories of the countless people he taught.

My condolances to the entire Morris
family. Ed gave me my big break when he was instrumental with Bill Veeck in hiring me as the partner of Harry Caray on White Sox TV, Ch.44 in 1976. He was always very supportive and instructional. A very fine human being and broadcaster. God Bless
