Edward Mark Obituary

Edward J. Mark

September 5, 1929 to May 16, 2006. Born to William and Margaret Christman Mark in Anselm, North Dakota. Services will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. at the VA Cemetery in Eagle Point and 2:00 p.m. at the Scottish Rite Building in Medford.

Ed proudly served 26 years in the U.S. Air Force. He spent tours in the Korea and Vietnam wars. He was stationed in Japan, England, Larson, Washington, Beale and Mather AFB's in California. After retiring from the Air Force he served 22 years in the Oregon National Guard. He was Commander of VFW post 9676 and a member of the American Legion. He volunteered for the Jackson county sheriff's department for the parking patrol, search and rescue and the State Defence Force. Ed served one elected term as councilman for Jacksonville, Oregon. Ed was a proud life member of NRA. His passion for hunting and fishing kept him young at heart. Ed was an active member of the Masonic Order, Eastern Star, Hillah Shrine, Scottish Rite, Legion of Honor, and National Sojourners.

Ed is survived by his wife, Jackie; brother, Donald (Gail); sisters, Beverly Fergason, Delores (George) Weidaman, and Karen Mark; daughters, Tina (Ken) Pebley, Angie (Glen) Downs, Linda (Paul) Ingles, Georgina (George) Miller; son, Larry (Rowena) Fullerton; grandchildren, Kevin (Brooke), Rodney, Stacy (Dan) Fulton/Pebley; Glen, Scott Downs, Kellie (deceased), Paul (Shellie), Brian, Kenny Ingles, Brandy (Tim) Dewitt, Cindy (Emanuel) Ayala, Wendy Miller, Tanya (Jacob) Walker, John, Craig Fullterton; great-grandchildren, Kaci, Kaylin, Christian Pebley, Rachael, Cynthia Downs, Tristin, Kyle Ingles, Alexis, Branden Dewitt, Allisa, Eric Ayala, Tanya, Analee Miller, Jessie, Waylin Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Laureen, Kellie & Desta, Michael, Jackie, Janet, Adam, Robert, Joann (Rod), Heather, Jason, Amy and David Weidaman. He was preceded in death by his son, James.
