I was saddened to hear about Eddie's passing. The many years and long hours I spent working with Eddie at Lyric Opera were made a little easier by Eddie's terrific sense of humor.
After Eddie's retirement from Lyric Opera, it has proved to be very difficult to find as competent a person as Eddie Klein was to fill the position of Head Property Master at the Lyric Opera.
Eddie was renowned, astute, a consummate authority, a virtuoso, and a teacher to all!
To Martin, his sister and to Eddie's wife. I send my deepest sympathy.
Sincerely,
Tim Daly and Family

Without the magic of Eddie Klein and his amazing stage-hand buddies of the 50's-60's TV at NBC, we could never have made those long, live Polk Brothers Night Owl Movie commercials. Just want Eddie's family to know how much we admired and depended upon him. What fun we had...what unforgettable memories we still have. So long, dear old friend!

A great man.....a great friend....and great colleague. You will be remembered by all whose lives you touched, down at Lyric Opera. Rest in peace, dear friend.
